Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Sunday congratulated states and UTs that have administered the primary dose of Covid-19 vaccine to 100 per cent of their population. Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, Sikkim, and Lakshadweep have inoculated all their citizens with the primary jab.
“Congratulations to those States & UTs for administering the primary #COVID19 vaccine dose to 100% of the adult population. Special appreciation for the doctors in these regions for his or her diligence & commitment,” Mandaviya said during a tweet, sharing the amount of doses administered by each state/UT.
Over 74 crore people of the country’s population have received their vaccination, and minister of finance Nirmala Sitharaman on Sunday said vaccination was the sole medicine to spice up the economy because it allows people to conduct businesses regularly or farmers to hold out farming activity Around 50,25,159 vaccine doses are administered till 8 pm on Sunday, consistent with data from the CoWIN portal.

The vaccination exercise as a tool to guard the foremost vulnerable population groups within the country from COVID-19 continues to be regularly reviewed and monitored at the very best level, the ministry said.
