Ponniyin Selvan: I will mark the fourth collaboration of Aishwarya and director Mani Ratnam. The film has an ensemble player consisting of Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Jayaram, Aishwarya Leksshmi, R. Sarathkumar and Sobhita Dhulipala. Produced jointly by Mani Ratnam Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions, this film is the first of two giant projects based on the Kalki Krishnamurthy novel in 1955 Ponniyin Selvan.
