The web series based on the novel by Firefly Lane Kristin Hannah was released just a few months ago. The story revolved around two teenage girls and their plot of growing up with several twists and turns. Ever since the series has hit the platform, the fans were very engaged and intrigued by the story. There were rumours about its renewal, but no official announcement was made by Netflix yet.
Is Firefly lane Season 2 confirmed?
The true fans can now be happy as the official statement has been given by Netflix, claiming that the fans can now finally expect season 2. The series will be in continuation of the novel based on the novel’s sequel named, Fly Away. The leads of the series, Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke, who played the loved personalities of Tully and Kate, respectively, have also confirmed the renewal in several interviews. They made this big announcement and also some fans’ questions.
Firefly lane Season 1 Recap
The story navigated the relationship of two teenage girls, Tully, and kate. The series followed the lives of these best friends from childhood all the way up to 30 years, going through several ups and downs. Even though the girls were the complete opposite, they had a strong bond and affection. The story is narrated in flashbacks jumping between the ’70s, ’80s, and early 2000s, which often makes it a little confusing. At present, they met at a funeral and were sharing some bittersweet memories. In the entire season, we were kept sceptical about a mysterious funeral. However, in the final season, it was revealed that it was kate’s dad who died. Now, in the second season, it might be shown that how and why he died.
Firefly lane Season 2 expectations
Since season one had an open ending, many probable plot twists were coming up. A time jump was shown from when the two were making promises to each other to the present time when they had a heartfelt confrontation at a funeral, with Kate asserting that she never wants to see Tully again.
So, the first expected answer that we can expect from season 2 is the reason behind their emotional encounters and what actually did happen between them. Season 2 can also expect to answer about Tully’s career.
Of course, because Firefly Lane is based on a well-known story, you won’t have to look too hard to figure out what happens to Tully and Kate next. Be alert of what you see; you might not like it!
When will Firefly lane Season 2 stream on Netflix?
The Filming and production for season 2 of Firefly Lane will once again occur in Vancouver, Canada. As per the sources, season 2 might complete the filming by April 2022. However, it seems like a longer production time.
