Students at Delhi University`s Indraprastha College for Women alleged that a few guys scaled the institute`s boundary partitions throughout a fest on Tuesday and “confused numerous college students”. There became no reaction from the university government and police over the incident.
An All India Students` Association (AISA) activist alleged that the guys had been heard chanting “Miranda, IP dono hamara (Miranda House and Indraprastha College each are ours)” and “Miranda nahi chhoda to IP bhi nahi chhodenge (We didn`t depart Miranda, we won`t depart IP either)”.
In October, a few college students of Delhi University`s all-girls Miranda House College alleged that numerous guys scaled the boundary partitions and the gates throughout an open Diwali fest on campus and indulged in “cat-calling and sexist sloganeering”.
The AISA`s Delhi University unit secretary and previous Indraprastha College for Women (IPCW) pupil Anjali shared purported photographs and films of the incident.
In the photo, 4 guys are visible status close to the IPCW boundary wall even as every other is scaling the wall. The video clip suggests the police asking the university college students to vacate the premises.
“Today, IPCW`s fest became going whilst inebriated guys climbed the partitions, forcefully entered the campus and harrassed gender minorities. Men had been chanting `Miranda IP dono hamara`, `Miranda nahi chhoda to IP bhi nahi chhodenge`,” Anjali tweeted.
Another pupil alleged, “Miscreants entered the IPCW fest nowadays and confused numerous girls college students, injuring one. Delhi Police has certainly escorted the goons out. We call for their on the spot arrest.”
