With the new guidelines in view of the Covid-19 swell in the country remonstrating in on Tuesday, all transnational passengers coming to India must mandatorily counterblockade at home for seven days, followed by an RT-PCR test on the eighth day.
While segregating was before obligatory for those arriving from “ at threat” countries, the rules have been extended to all transnational passengers. On the eighth day, if they test negative, they will have to further tone- examiner their health for coming 7 days. Still, if plant positive, they “ shall be managed at an insulation installation” as per protocol and their samples will be transferred for genomic surveillance The Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has also increased the list of “ at threat” countries from 12 to 19 last week. Eight further countries — Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Nigeria, Tunisia and Zambia — were added to the list. Before, countries in Europe, including the UK, South Africa, Brazil, Botswana, China, Ghana, Mauritius, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Hong Kong and Israel were specified as “ at threat”. All trippers from these countries have to suffer obligatory RT-PCR tests on appearance. The must stay for the results at the field before leaving or taking a connectingflight.For other countries, about 2 per cent of the total passengers on a flight suffer arbitrary tests on appearance at the field, while all are needed to “ tone- examiner” their health for 14 dayspost-arrival. Now, under the new guidelines, the RT-PCR test is obligatory for all of them on their eighth day of appearance.
According to the government’s press release, “ all trippers shall also be needed to upload results of RT-PCR test for Covid-19 done on 8th day on Air Suvidha gate Further, all passengers must upload a negative Covid- report before boarding their breakouts The guidelines also pure children under five times of age from pre-andpost-arrival testing. “ Still, if plant characteristic for Covid-19 on appearance or during home counterblockade period, they shall suffer testing and be treated as per laid down protocol,” the guidelines state.
