The Union Cabinet on Wednesday gave its nod for the development of the 4.1-km Shinku La tunnel at the Nimu-Padam-Darcha street hyperlink to offer all-climate connectivity to the border regions of Ladakh.
Providing information of the cupboard decision, Union minister Anurag Thakur stated the tunnel might be finished through December 2025 at a value of ₹ 1,681 crore. The period of the tunnel might be 4.1 km. An method can also be constructed through December 2025.
